Agent identity

An agent is not a session. It is a persistent object. In the IdentIA formalism, identity is the tuple Ψ = ⟨SOUL, M, L, K⟩.

ComponentWhat it is
SOULIdentity document: who it is, who it is not, limits. Edited from the Console under permission.
MMemory (episodic and user), isolated per agent
LLineage: where this agent came from, which skill, which corpus
KSkill library with provenance

Behaviour on a turn is bₜ = f(Ψ, mₜ) + εₜ. The residue ε is not part of Ψ: it is not persistable, inspectable or enforceable. Putting it inside identity would make identity claims unfalsifiable.

Identifier

Operational identity is the pair host + name. The same role (writer) can exist in seven departments; signing as “the first writer” is a false attribution. The X-Road-aligned identifier has the shape instance / class / member / subsystem. [V]

What is not there

A key pair and certificate per agent (OSARA's identity module). Today identity is registered and persistent, not cryptographic per agent. [D] / red on the standards map.
